    Execution of Section 41 Agreement

    Mira Power Limited advanced the process of acquisition of private land whereby it has executed Section 41 Agreement with GOAJK on 14th July 2014 as required under the Land Acquisition Act 1894. Mira Power has also made compensation payment to the GOAJK for land and structures of major areas required for the project constructions.

      Initialing of Power Purchase Agreement with NTDC

      MPL has finalized the draft Power Purchase Agreement with NTDC and initial same in the office of General Manager (WPPO), NTDC on June 17, 2014 following several rounds of negotiations.

      MPL will execute this Agreement following its diligence by the Lenders and approval of NEPRA.

        Hearing before NEPRA for Tariff Proposal of Gulpur Hydropower Project

        NEPRA called on Mira Power Limited to present its case before the Authority and explain the features, progress and tariff of the Project. The hearing was attended by the full authority i.e. Vice Chairman, Member (Tariff) & Member (Licensing) assisted by tariff, licensing & legal wing.

          News Coverage of Public hearing on EIA of Gulpur Hydropower Project in local print media in AJK.

            Public Hearing on Environmental Impact Assessment of Gulpur Hydropower Project

            The public hearing on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of Gulpur Hydropower project was successfully completed today. The session was held at Kotli and near project site Gulpur in which all stakeholders actively participated.

            Company’s Environmental Consultant, Hagler Bailly Pakistan and MPL team defended the report and answered all questions raised by community.

             

              Meeting with NTDC for EPC stage tariff

              MPL management gave the detailed presentation to NTDC on design change and propose cost and tariff of the project. NTDC appreciated the efforts done by the company and EPC contractor to optimise the design and to bring the cost at an acceptable level.

                MPL presented finalized design report to PPIB and NTDC

                MPL, its EPC contractor (DAELIM) & designer (SAMAN) gave a presentation on the finalized design of Gulpur Hydropower Project collectively to PPIB and NTDC and demonstrated the change in design caused for resolution of Environmental, Resettlement and Technical issues faced during the development process.

                  Execution of GoP Implementation Agreement

                  The Government of Pakistan and Mira Power Limited signed the Implementation Agreement on April 14, 2014 to formalise the financial close of the 102MW Gulpur Hydropower Project to be set up at Kotli in Azad Jammu & Kashmir on Poonch river. The project will be completed by 2018.
